ILA Scotland
Help your staff on their way to learning new skills
We’re asking employers to help us raise awareness of ILA Scotland by displaying posters around your workplace or including information about ILA Scotland funding in your employee communications.
ILA Scotland is a Scottish Government scheme for anyone 16 or over, living in Scotland with an income of £22,000 a year or less. There are two types of account available and, as the money is not a loan, your employees don’t have to pay any of it back.
£200 accounts are available to people who are interested in learning something new or brushing up their skills. There are plenty of courses to choose from and learners can study with any ILA Scotland approved learning provider including colleges, universities, learning centres and private training companies.
£500 accounts are available to people who are studying a part-time higher education course such as an HNC, HND or Degree courses at ILA Scotland registered colleges or universities. Learners must be studying 50% or more of the time needed to complete a full-time course.
