The World Peace Prayer Society has discovered that online learning has answered its training and development prayers.
Elaine Fitzpatrick, finance and project manager, said: “As a non-profit organisation, we have no training budget, so online learning has been a real godsend. It is exactly what we needed.
“The support and advice we received from learndirect scotland for business has been fantastic. And it is reassuring to know that Lindsey, our local training partner, is at the other end of the phone if a problem arises.”
Elaine and her staff have completed courses on website development and Microsoft Excel as well as courses on facilitation and presentations.
She said: ““The website training has been invaluable as it has allowed us to improve the quality and content of our own website
“Online learning has given us the knowledge and the confidence to deal more effectively with the different departments within our organisation.
