Aberdeen-based financial solutions provider, Acumen Accountants and Advisors, is counting the benefits of e-learning thanks to learndirect scotland for business.
Steve Mitchell, project manager, said: “We are a small company delivering a broad and complex service, so our staff training needs are diverse and specific.
“The flexibility and convenience of e-learning was a real selling point, as the work flow in our industry can be irregular.
“e-learning worked particularly well as it gave our staff the opportunity to access training that suited their own individual requirements, as and when they had the time.”
Steve and his colleagues signed up for several online courses combining hard skills, such as Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint, and soft skills, including Effective Communication and Time Management.
“We are already beginning to see the benefits of e-learning. Staff are taking an active role in their own training and development programme, and as a result morale has improved significantly.”
